Lot of 2. 1) ALLIS-CHALMERS COMPANY. Published in 1911, out of Milwaukee, WI. Unnumbered pages. The card cover of this book is inscribed “Allis-Chalmers/ Company” in raised gold lettering within a rectangular, black ink border. Below the gold inscription is printed “General Office:/ Milwaukee, Wis/ Offices in all Large Cities” in black ink. The spine bears the remnants of a sticker on whose legible sections are written, “[Machi]nery: also Crushing/ & Cement Mchy.” The catalog’s contents consist of advertisement bulletins for Hancock Jigs, Tremain Steam Stamps, Crushing Rolls, Frue Vanners, and other equipment, bound with large, flathead pins. The covers are worn, and most pages are somewhat tattered along the bottom edges and corners. Some yellowing. Front bottom corner is torn off. Measures about 8” by 11” by 1.” 2) The second catalog in this lot is THE MINING CATALOG written and published by Keystone Consolidated Publishing Company of Pittsburgh, PA in 1918. 877 pp. This large, hardbound catalog is covered in purple cloth. The lighter purple markings on the front cover indicate the publisher, title, and year within a keystone logo. The spine bears no discernible inscriptions. The catalog’s spine and binding are damaged; it is missing several front pages, and remaining pagination begins on 3. Cover board edges are worn, the spine is broken, and the pages are deeply yellowed with age. Measures 8.5” by 11.5” by 2.” - Ken & Rosemary Roberts Collection
